Haydn and Rylee Zinchini!

The Zinchini's were the very first people we knew in Virginia. Jake {Zinchini...stick with me, both the husbands are named Jake} and my Jake {as they have come to be known} went through bootcamp and dive school together and now we are all in Virginia.

You may remember this when the Zinchini's first made their appearance on the blog. What you didn't hear then, though, was that Kellie had just found out she was PREGNANT! So exciting, right?? And THEN just when it couldn't get any better they found out they were having TWINS! One boy, one girl.

Well, on Saturday, Kellie popped out two of the healthiest twins I have ever heard of! Haydn {the boy} weighed in at 7 lbs 5 oz!! Crazy! I was so excited I could barely take it! I was driving Jacob crazy talking about it, and I can admit I tend to get a little too involved and slightly overexcited about things that don't really have anything to do with me. But I can't help it.

Anyway, congrats Kellie and Jake! Your babies are so perfect!!

Two Words. Dierks. Bentley.

For my birthday, Mal and Joe got me tickets to Dierks Bentley! The whole show was General Admission so we took full advantage and arrived a solid hour before the doors opened. And let me tell you. Best Decision of our Lives. We were RIGHT up front and Dierks was amazing. Mal and Joe had been in Florida for 2 weeks and I left for Las Vegas the day before they got home so we were pretty much dying for something fun to do this weekend and DB delivered! We had the best time! My cheeks were killing me by the end of the night I was laughing and smiling so much.

And now for the best part. Dierks touched my hand! Oooh yes people! That has never happened to me at a concert before so it was awesome! Mal got a high five too and Jacob got a pretty solid fist bump. Joe didn't get in on the action quick enough, but we love him anyway.
I have no idea why this picture came out all weird, but the important part is you can see the hand touch.
The boys were having a good old time talking with the girls behind us!

Josh Thompson!

Yep. We were that close. Behold, Dierks Bentley...

We could touch the stage!

I just love my roomies! They are definitely our Virginia "family". Thanks Mallory and Joe for such an awesome concert! I have NO idea ho I am going to top this for your birthday...

Green Thumb

When we first moved in, Mallory and I planted a little garden. I will be the first to admit that I had my doubts about what would actually grow. The problem with Virginia Beach is that all of the dirt is made of clay making it really hard for plants to get the right nutrients, etc. We had to use all kinds of special soils and stuff. Okay, enough dirt talk.

Despite my doubts, things were growing! We planted Watermelon, Onion, Zucchini, Lettuce, Tomatoes, Strawberries, Rasberries, and Blackberries. Not everything grew, but when I got back from Las Vegas the zucchini were SO tall (no actual zucchinis yet...but they're a comin!) and the tomato plants were HUGE with little tiny green tomatoes on them! Yay! Some of the other plants are doing really well too, but these are the ones I'm most excited about.

The Zucchini! It doesn't look as impressive in pictures, but just bear in mind when we planted everything the only thing there was dirt!

Dose of DeAngelo

I gotta say, when you are feeling home sick there is nothing better for you than these three...

Surprising my Mom (my whole family actually) for Mother's Day was exactly what I needed! A quick little getaway back to the 702 to remind me what mountains look like and hold me over until July! I was sad it had to end so soon, but it was more than worth the trip.

Operation Mother's Day

What more could a Mom ask for than a little surprise visit from her favorite daughter???

Apparently I'm obsessed...

I cannot stop taking/posting pictures of my dog! She just does the cutest things. Observe:

Cuddles with the boys!
That face!

And the best part?? She poses for the camera! When I hold it up she looks right at me and tilts her head when I say...

"1"
"2"
"3"

Gahh! I love her and her bladder issues!

Gettin Comfortable

It took Zoey no time at all to feel right at home in our new house...
Chillin with Banyon
This is her "please don't move me off the bed" face. Love it! (Gets me everytime...she always gets to stay.)
