Mama Adele and Papa Bernie

Today I am thankful for my grandparents, Mama Adele and Papa Bernie. They have done SO much for me in my short life and I am very grateful. Especially in regards to school, they have been incredibly supportive and always made my dreams and studies possible. I am so happy I had my grandparents living near me growing up. I love remembering Mama Adele telling us stories about when she was in the ballet and rocking me to sleep, or Papa Bernie taking us out to the golf course and letting us drive the golf carts around. I could not have asked for more loving and generous people for my grandparents. I am a very lucky girl. Thank you Mama Adele and Papa Bernie for EVERYTHING you've done for me =)

What's in a name....

Potty Pads

Well, today I am thankful for puppy potty pads! It may not seem like that big of a thing, but I'm glad we have them. I mean, she doesn't make it onto the pad every time but for now I will settle for what I can get! Hopefully she catches on to the potty training soon.

Holiday Fever

I was in the mall the other day and the Christmas decorations are up and all the department stores are ready to go. It made me SO excited to start decorating my house! But I'm TRYING to hold off until Thanksgiving, we'll see how long that lasts! In the mean time I found some super cute ideas. I'll just use one as a hold me over...

A shimmery stunner takes Christmas ornaments off the tree and onto the wall. Buy a straw wreath about 22 inches in diameter from the crafts store. Using 1/2 yard of white felt cut into 3-inch-wide strips, wrap each piece around the wreath, pinning to secure and overlapping the edges. Take assorted Christmas balls and attach to the felt with a low-temperature glue gun, using the smallest balls to fill in holes and gaps. This is also a great way to use older ornaments that may not look good from all angles. You can also add small stars, snowflakes, or other ornaments to give your wreath a unique look. Hang with wire, wrapped securely around "top" of wreath. (Note: You'll need to add the wire before you cover the wreath completely with ornaments.) I love this wreath because you can use it inside or outside! Also, it's not the typical pine wreath but you could still make it look traditional depending what kind of ornaments you use!

Thankful

In an attempt to be better about my blogging, I am going to start writing the things I'm thankful for everyday in November. I've seen a few people doing it on their blogs and I think it's a great idea!

I guess I'll start with the obvious...

I am so thankful for this man! I really could not have asked for a better husband. He's loving, supportive, hard working, sensitive, loyal, funny, smart, and so much more. We always have so much fun being newlyweds. Also, there's no way I could have lasted in Virginia without him. I'm a pretty lucky girl to be married to Jacob. =)

Our New Baby

So.....we caved and now we have a puppy. We love her so much! She's a yorkie-poo and is TINY. She doesn't even weigh a pound yet. She's 9 weeks old and seriously the cutest thing you've ever seen in your life. We're still trying to agree on a name, but we love having a little baby Foyston!

Halloween

Jacob and I realized that Halloween gets slightly less fun when you're grown up and living in a new place with not too many friends. But, luckily for us we have the Zinchini's! We went over to their house and watched football and carved pumpkins. It was actually really fun and hopefully it will be our little Virginia tradition.

Mom and Dad visit VIRGINIA!

Whoa, I've been slacking on my blog and there's a lot to catch up on! I promise to try and do better.

First of all, my mom and dad came and visited Jacob and me in Virginia! My mom was here for 10 days and my dad was here for 4. It was amazing! I was so happy to have them here and SO beyond sad to see them go home. Sometimes a girl just needs her mom around I guess. I hope eventually Jacob and I will be able to move a little closer to family. Here are some of my favorite memories from the trip:

I could not believe how quickly the time went by while my parents were here. We got to go check out a lot of cool things that Jacob and I hadn't seen yet. The weather was perfect the whole time and my mom even got to see some fall colors. I can't wait until they visit again.
