Waiting...

I've been at this for 55 days now...why are the last 10 choosing to drag by as slowly as possible??

The One at the Fountain

After the music museum, Jacob took me walking around by the space needle and to a park with a huge fountain. I forget the exact name of it, but I know it is really famous. I liked just sitting and looking at it and talking together.

The One at The Music Museum

In October, I was back in Washington! (They can't really keep me away...hopefully they don't want to!) As usual, Jacob picked out something cool to sight see. (He's really good at planning stuff like that in case you haven't noticed.) This time, he took me to see this music museum, which was awesome! If you see it from the sky, it looks like a smashed guitar! We had so much fun in there...especially with the voice machine in the experiment department. I love that Jacob always plans fun things for us to do when we're together, it has definitely made this memory thing a lot easier!

On the way to the museum!

We tried out space music.

Merry Christmas!

Christmas is here! I had a great Christmas with my family. We all went out to dinner on Christmas Eve and went to look at the lights in Sunset Park, which were awesome this year. This morning we all woke up and opened our presents. I love everything I got...but I especially love what my sisters got me...the complete series of Friends on DVD! I can't wait to start watching those. A few other things that I really liked were my ticket to Chicago (Thanks Mom & Dad!), my new day planner, and my new black purse. I also got this great book about marrying into the military, it looks like it has tons of information, which is perfect for me since I like to know everything! But, now that Christmas is here, it also means it's almost over which means new look for my blog! (I love Christmas music, but I was ready to be done.) It also means...2 weeks until graduation! I can't wait! Merry Christmas to everyone! Much love,

The One With More Random Pictures

It seemed to be a recurring theme that every time I left Washington, I would somehow convince Jacob to take a bunch more pictures right before we had to leave for the airport.

Babysitting Tucker!

Today I got to watch Sam's new puppy, Tucker. He is the cutest little ball of fluff ever! I just love him. We had so much fun playing at my house...although my mom wasn't too happy when he "went" on the floor. Luckily it was pretty easy to clean up off of her brand new tile! (Sorry, Mom!) Tucker can definitely brighten anybody's day!

Tucker really wanted to be friends with my dogs...they weren't too sure about the idea.

Tucker really wanted to play with the Schmoo, but this is about as close as they got.

"Tuckered" Out - Tucker would play and nap all day. It was so cute.

The One Where We Had a "Real" Date

For the majority of our relationship, Jacob's and my dates were sort of...not really date-like. (Our first date was Del Taco for Taco Tuesday if that paints any kind of picture for you.) So, after we got engaged we had a real date. We made dinner together and ate it with candles at his house. It was so much fun, and now Jacob writes to me about how he wishes we could be going on dates now that he's in boot camp. (I'll be keeping that letter to show him in 20 years.) This night was so much fun and I loved that Jacob was so willing to go along with it.

We started the night off right...engagement slurpees! Pina colada of course.

Apparently the girl is usually supposed to be the one cooking (don't tell the feminists I said that) But I got lucky with Jake. He always volunteers to be the chef.

Jacob's creating. He was very proud of his pizza, complete with chopped pepperoni.

Our candlelit table.

After dinner, Jacob and I played with our "Do you know your bride/groom" books and I tried on his old letterman jacket and we just kind of goofed around.

Jake doing his homework. He knew me pretty dang well actually.

Foyston sure does look good on me!

Merry Christmas, Jacob.

Today, I sent off Jacob's "christmas present". Since he can't get packages in boot camp, I just sent him a picture of his present.

I also made him a blanket with US Navy material that's pretty cool. And I found an awesome tie that I got just because. I "wrapped" the picture in an envelope with wrapping paper on the outside and tied a little bow around it and put it in with his letter that I sent. Hopefully he won't open it until Christmas like I told him to!

In other news, I'm dealing with a small cold and readjusting to life back in Las Vegas! It's definitely warmer than I'm used to. I'm continuing to count down the days until Jake's graduation and spending some much needed time with my family. I finished my Christmas shopping yesterday...I can't believe it's less than a week away! Where has this year gone?

And...Jacob got to call again today! I love when he gets to call! We caught up as quickly as possible, he only got 20 minutes today. Hopefully if his division does well this week he will be able to call again next Saturday! He's doing GREAT in boot camp, he's gotten A's on all of his tests and stuff so far. And he's a section leader, which means he's kind of in charge of some things...I'm not sure what though! Anyway, I'm so proud of him, and so excited we got to talk today!

Oh, and in case you didn't notice from the picture above, my hair is now much darker. =/ I'm still getting used to it, but it just made more sense for the winter to keep it closer to my natural color. Don't worry, blonde hair fans, it will be back in time for the wedding!
