This weekend in Panama City was exactly what I needed. It was so relaxing and the weather was beautiful the entire time. I could not have picked a better time to go.
This is one of the piers on the base...sometimes Jacob swims in that water during workouts! It wasn't too cold luckily.
Jacob took me on a tour of the entire base and this was one of our stops. This is a pool with an adjustable bottom, and it can get up to 40 feet deep!
Here we are underneath the Training Center emblem
On Saturday, Jacob took me to Pier Park, a little shopping area on the beach.
We had a lot of fun going into the different tourist stores.
We found these super cool visors, we're planning on getting some when we're old.
After shopping a little, we decided to take a walk on the beach...Jacob said he wanted to show me where MTV hosts spring break. He said it was about a mile or so away, and that sounded like a nice walk to me, so off we went. An hour and a half later we still weren't there. We were trying to get to a pier off in the distance, and it seriously felt like it was not getting any closer. But, we kept walking. And, 6 miles later we reached our destination! Only to find out that Spring Break had been taken down and there was nothing left to look at! We settled for lunch at Pineapple Willy's right on the ocean. The only problem was we were both burnt to a crisp!
Sunday we walked around the base a little more and then decided to go to lunch...at Hooters! Neither of us had been before and it was right across the street (that was definitely not put there on accident, sailors love Hooters!) We had a lot of fun there.
Then we spent the entire rest of the day chilling on the beach, and it was perfect! I set up camp on our new towel and Jacob swam in the water.
We were smart and used sunscreen this time! But we both had killer sun burns.
I just love this picture of Jacob...so hot!
After we were done at the beach we went to dinner at Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville! It was a really fun atmosphere, and I love going to eat with Jacob. We always have fun conversations and I think he is so fun to be around!
Then we went for a walk on the pier before going back to the base.
Once we got back, we went and got ice cream across the street from the base and hung out until bedtime.
This was seriously one of the best weekends ever. I loved being with Jacob in Florida and I'm so excited to go back to visit again. It was the perfect birthday present, so thanks Jake, I love you!
As long as I'm thanking people, I should definitely thank Amanda Peterson for driving me to and from the valley! Thank you thank you thank you, I couldn't go on most of my trips without her!
